My Recon sentinal lost connection, stopped working, what can I do?

In some case we have found that although the cable modem recovers the internet from lightning strikes it can cause a loss in connectivity to cable boxes and the recon sentinel even wifi printers.
What you can do.

Unplug the power from the recon sentinel.
Unplug the power to the modem, wait at least 1 minute. Then plug it back in and let it reboot.
DHCP and connections will resume, and this takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes. (check a computer for internet access)
Once the modem has been rebooted, then plug in the recon sentinel.
The recon sentinel will reboot, and go thru it's startup procedure. This takes approximately 5 minutes.
Once that is complete, you should be able to log in to the app, and the recon sentinel will say standing Guard.
